Formcraft offers an innovative construction system using energy efficient materials. Using Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF), Formcraft provides a fast, strong and cost-effective building option for any sized project. It also supports environmental sustainability with sophisticated insulation technology aimed to minimise energy consumption.
The Formcraft system uses high-density Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) panels to accept steel reinforced concrete. Once the concrete hardens, the wall system outperforms traditional construction methods. Cutting edge design and technology has made Formcraft ICF the leading product of its type in Australia.
ICFs are used as an alternative to tilt panels, precast panels, and brick or stud frame walls. They stay in place as permanent building insulation for energy-efficient, cast-in-place, reinforced concrete walls, floors, and roofs.
The forms are interlocking modular units that are dry-stacked (without mortar) and filled with concrete. Reinforcing steel is often added before the concrete is poured to give the walls flexural strength, similar to bridges and high-rise buildings made of concrete.
Formcraft provides an easy means of achieving high standards in building when it comes to cost, speed, structure, energy, acoustics, and fire protection.
